The first addition to the shed is Rusty (February 2004). He's the little diesel that's always looking for ways to help out around the island. Rusty's design is based on scenes from "Rusty and the Boulder" and from photos of the similar engine at the Talyllyn Railway.
Rusty was modeled in Gmax. He will probably be modified as time allows. The modeling was not too time consuming, but the translation to the Trainz environment (config.txt files, etc.) proved a bit more difficult. Lots of studying other people's work and good ol' trial and error finally yielded the picture below.
February 2004 - Rusty makes his first trip in the Trainz environment. Current features include animated wheels and a driver at the controls. Rusty is also running on custom narrow-gauge track... 27 inches between the rails (based on information from the Talyllyn Railway).
He'll run on the standard gauge track just fine, but his wheels don't fit on the rails. The little three-year old doesn't mind this "feature" ...yet!
